A Beautifully Detailed, Original Lithograph of the Lower Gateway at "Castle Gould," Estate of Howard Gould, ESQ., Fort Washington, L.I., NY.  No architect cited.   From The American Architect, January 21, 1905.  This is an original lithograph print on fiber based paper.  NOTE:  We have other 1905 dated views of this fine estate.

This picture is extremely hard to find. The American Architect had a very small circulation during this time and these original prints only appeared in a very limited number of issues that were distributed to a few prominent architects.  It measures 11.75 by 8.5 inches.  Has a mat border and foam core backing (not attached to the picture).  The whole picture measures approx. 13.5 by 11 inches (with border).  Extraordinary detail in this early photographic print.

Picture is in VG+ condition with some very light browning .
